Brooch Jewelry Room

KANEKO, Itsuo 金子稜威男

Jewelry Room, exhibited in the Former Prince Asaka Residence, is a work that appears like a doll’s house sitting inside a mantelpiece –the pink marble stone of the mantle piece and the circular mirror above it very much giving the sense of the room belonging to a young woman. Adorning the walls of the Jewelry Room is wallpaper produced by the same maker as that which was used in the Former Prince Asaka Residence, with old accessories and a trinket box as serving as furniture, such as a bracelet that is made to appear like a chandelier.
