HONJYO Naoki uses a 4 x 5 camera to capture scenes from the air or a tall building. Taking advantage of the reverse-tilt effect, HONJYO intentionally narrows the focus to give a landscape the appearance of a miniature model. By looking at a familiar street from a slight distance, he is perhaps able to see something new in a scene that has come to seem commonplace to him as a native of Tokyo.
