Original title: 右腕と左前腕の欠損で生まれたハア（Ha、生後10ヵ月）を抱く母親のタイ（Nguyen Thi Thai、25歳）。ハアにはクロルアクネ（塩素にきび）状の皮膚発疹もみられた。母親が米軍機の枯葉剤を浴びたのは12歳当時のこと。有機塩素系の枯葉剤Agent Orangeの中には発癌性と催奇性を併せ持つ 2378-TCDD（ダイオキシン）が不純物として混入していた（Tay Ninh=タイニン省、Loc Hung=ロクフン村。1981年）
