It is one of left a few works of the nude photography by Renjo now. In his essay “Kurofune-danso” MORI Fusui, wrote about Renjo’s nude photography: ”This is something most people do not know about photography, but because the foreigners at that time really liked women, Renjo made a portable studio in the backyard of the ITABE home in Shimoda. There he made photographs, in the manner of the so-called shunga, which he sold to foreigners".
