WATKINS, Carleton E. ワトキンス, カールトン・E.

Watkins is credited with having successfully rendered the “landscape” image that has been embraced by the American people. There is certainly intention behind this composition, where the surface of the water and the line of boulders lead the eye to the waterfall and the mountain at the back. The photograph recalls popular American landscape paintings.
