35mm Movie Camera 35ミリ撮影機

This movie camera, marketed by the British company Williamson, was modeled after a cinematographic camera and was called “Senryōbako” in Japan because of its shape. The camera was used by turning a crank by hand to advance the film and take a picture. Movies during the Meiji and Taisho eras were made using cameras like this.
