A Biafran soldier suffering from "shell shock," post-traumatic stress disorder caused by the exposure to being shelled and other wartime experiences. Many of the soldiers in the Biafran army were white-collar worker Igbo. Since they were sent into the war without adequate training, a great many soldiers suffered these types of psychological injuries
