Coin-shaped Tickets for Florida Dance Hall フロリダダンスホールコイン型チケット

These coin-format tickets were used at the Florida Dance Hall, which was located in the Akasaka Tameike area of Tokyo before World War II. They were made of aluminum. One side has the date, 1932, and the other side has a verse by the British poet Byron and a figure in a dance pose. At the time, Japan’s dance halls used the “taxi dance hall” format popular in American cities in the 1920s and 1930s.
